Utica Feeder March, Friday, May 8

May 9th, 2008 · No Comments

More than 25 gathered in Utica on Wednesday evening for a pot-luck send-off supper, hosted by Mohawk Valley Peace Coalition,  Pax Christi, and the Unitarians. On Thursday morning the Marchers gathered in Clinton, NY, at the Clinton Green, covered by both TV and newspaper reporters. The Walk went through the village, up to Hamilton College and to the Village of Vernon. Then onto the village of Sherrill, where a special vigil was held at the gazebo and the names of the fallen - Iraqis and Americans - were read. The Walkers are staying overnight in Oneida. Media coverage has been good, with WRVO radio, Channel 10, WKTV, and the Clinton Courier covering the Walk. — Cynthia Banas
